Fukushima Translational Research Foundation

Our goal is to facilitate Fukushima’s bright future through contributions to the reconstruction after the Great East Japan Earthquake disaster.

We are working to contribute to the reconstruction by establishing and promoting the pharmaceutical-related industries by working collaboratively with the Translational Research Center at Fukushima Medical University and its associated companies.

Greeting

At the Translational Research Center at Fukushima Medical University (TR center), we have been promoting the Fukushima Translational Research Project (Fukushima Project), launched as a part of the post-Great East Japan Earthquake reconstruction measures. The purpose of the Fukushima Project is to provide development support for pharmaceutical and medical testing/IVD industries and reagent manufacturers, as well as to create new biological industries and provide employment in Fukushima.

To ensure the stability of our project in the future, we established the Fukushima Translational Research Foundation on February 3, 2020. We will play a role in further promoting the transfer of the project’s research and development results (Fukushima Collection®) to industries, in fields where it is difficult for Fukushima Medical University to proactively utilize the results of research and development, by building a close working relationship with the TR center.

Through this project, we aim to support research and development for members and to create and accumulate pharmaceutical-related industries by working collaboratively with the TR center and TR center-initiated venture companies.

We would like to ask for your continual support and encouragement.

Chairman, Shun-ichiro Iemura
